  7. Please read all the following before using this software.

  9. Windows Sockets Host (WSHost) is a utility which will obtain
  10. a host name from a given IP number or vice versa. The
  11. software will run over any TCP/IP stack which is Winsock 
  12. version 1.1 compliant.
  13.  
  14. To use the software, simply type the host name or IP number
  15. into the appropriate box and press return, or mouse click 
  16. on the appropriate push button. WSHost will then interrogate 
  17. your local Domain Name server and return the requested 
  18. information (assuming the input was correct).

  20. This software has been tested on the following TCP/IP stacks;
  21.  
  22.     PC/TCP
  23.     Beame & Whiteside
  24.     Windows for Workgroups TCP/IP March Beta
  25.     Windows NT
  26.
